Author Di Morrissey will unveil a historic marker at the museum located at 12 Farquhar Street, Wingham on May 20 at 4.30pm.
A cocktail reception will follow at the Manning Spiritual Wellness Centre Farquhar Street (old Masonic Hall) where photographs from the society's collection will be on display.
Cost $15 tickets for this event can be obtained by telephoning the historical society on 6553 5823.
On Saturday, May 24 the Manning Valley Historical Society will host a pageant of fashion's of the past at Wingham Services Club's auditorium in Bent Street, Wingham commencing at 2pm. Following the parade afternoon tea will be served.
The cost is $20 and tickets are available from the museum or the services club.
