It has been ten years since they all got together and some members are too young to have come before. The youngest family member was 18 month old Sophie Macleod and the eldest Auntie Ruth Rankin, 96. The pair enjoyed a traditional photograph together.
Some members of the family travelled from as far as Melbourne for the celebrations that marked 160 years of Camerons on the Marlee property of Ken and Jennie Cameron who live with two of their four children Kyle, Jarryd, Braedyn and Caitlyn.
The reunion weekend was organised by Ken and Jennie, together with Heather Oldham (nee Cameron) who has been re-writing her book on the subject, Cameron Family 160 years at Marlee.
Many months of planning, old photo scanning and family tree laminating paid off for the Camerons."Family have been getting together all weekend, it is just wonderful that everyone made such a big effort to come," said Heather. "It really brought people together."
