Crowds started to arrive as soon as the gates opened at 4pm with up to 2500 turning out to enjoy the evening of thrills and spills.
Families came in their droves and were not dissapointed with entertainment provided by a mechanical bull, rodeo clown, the Easter Bunny and a live band.
The real action started at 7pm with some of Australia's top bull riders and bulls taking to the arena. Organised by Bluemoon Bullriding in conjunction with the Wingham Show Society and sanctioned by PBR, the inaugural event was hugely successful and looks set to become an annual staple on the Wingham Showground calendar.
The Wingham Show Society said the event ran smoothly and had a great family atmosphere.
Many months of planning went into organising the event and lessons learnt at recent showground events were evident on the night. Extra lights and re-worked power sources meant the evening darkness was turned into daylight for the benefit of spectators. Ample parking was well coordinated by a team of volunteers and a new menu in the kiosk ensured everyone was happy.
Local rider Braedyn Cameron had a succesful night and won the Junior Division.
