Eye on Women's Bowls

At home:

LAST Wednesday April 16, the Grade No. 4's Pennant Teams played for the Sectional Play-Off at Taree Leagues and sadly one team had one win and one loss. Old Bar won the No.4 Pennant Flag as well as the No. 3 Flag. The winners then go to South West Rocks on June 16 and 17 to play for the Regional Flag.

Congrats to all who played in Pennant's teams for 2014.

Wingham No.4's did well to win our "Section" against strong teams. Thank you to all our supporters who turned up at Leagues to cheer us on.

Thurs April 17:

WE played for the Memorial Pair's event which was drawn from a bowl for partners. This makes it a exciting event for all the lady bowlers !!

Three teams had wins + 12 ends which was decided on margins.

Winners - Robyn Gillogly and Joan Thorburn with a win of 24 points, 12 ends with a margin of plus 14. Wow - the luck of the draw in this event !!

Runners Up: Pat Marcus and Gloria Burden on a count back of two ends.

Next week: April 24

THE No 2 Pennant Team is off to Black Head for their Flag Unfurling.

At home will be Social Bowls - so hope to see a good role up ladies.

Special Mention:

SATURDAY Morning Bowls with Narelle - This new event has exploded with 12 players, playing in beautiful sunshine for a share of the cash prize, in two games of triples.
