The Weekend Sunrise Dollar4Drought Campaign inspired staff to dress in country clothing for a day and organise fundraising barbecues at two Taree locations, Valley Skills for Life in Elizabeth Avenue and Valley Industries head office in Whitbread Street.
Dollar4Drought Campaign supporters could buy a sausage sandwich for $1 and were also given the opportunity to make additional donations. The event on March 27 raised $405 and the money was recently donated to the campaign co-ordinators, The Salvation Army to fund food and produce vouchers for drought-affected farmers in NSW and Queensland.
