Bill and Ruth are both locals from the Killabakh and Cedar Party area.
They were married on March 20, 1954, at St Alban's Church, Cedar Party, with Rev B Bules officiating. The couple started married life on a farm at Strathcedar, and after a short time on this dairy farm, they moved to share a arm at Killawarra.
In 1965 they moved to their farm at Killawarra, where they continue to live.
The Yarnolds raised three children; Greg, Garry and Donna on the Killawarra property.
They now have five grandchildren, Carina, Brooke, Amber, Cameron and Mitch.
Over the past 60 years they have shared many hard times on the land and have seen a lot of changes in the dairy industry.
Garry and Cameron continue to run the dairy farm and hope that it stays in the Yarnold name for many generations to come.
