Green keeper Mardy chose the lady bowlers to play on the new upgraded green first time round and there were no complaints on the roll.
L Cross, D Polley defeated E Holden and L Gilford – 17/15.
Looking at the score card, the only difference is Lillian and Denise picked up three three- pointers and Leonie and Elaine picked up a nice four on the 11th end.
They were 12 all on 13th end when Lillian, Denise picked up a nice three for the match of 17/15.
T Rushworth, N Sandford defeated L Dennes, R Gillogly on 19th end for a win of 20/19.
This game was a battle of skill and mind set between these two teams. Nancy and Tina's team got off to steady scoring leading 6/1 on the fifth end, when Robyn and Laurelle put some points on the board with nine points in next four ends.
So what happened?
Not to be "outdone" Nancy and Tina then put 11 points on the board in the next four ends. That made the score 17/12 but the lionesses of Robyn and Laurelle battled on with five points gained on the next two ends.
But it was not enough with Nancy and Tina coming out the winners 20/19.
Congratulations to all the teams that played and on their good sportsmanship.
