SHOOTING competition was from the 400 metre range and the weather has hot and haze drifted erratically and horizontally across the targets, and this tested the skills of competitors. Some shooters read the conditions better than others and this was reflected in the scores across all grades. There was not one target shooter with an outstanding score.

A grade was won by Steve Southwell with 97.7, then Jim Blackmore on 93.7 and Tony Moon on 92.4.
B grade was taken out by Doc Keith Gleeson on 94.2, then Barry White 91.5 and Brian Mavin on 86.4.
F class A grade was won by Robert Taylor on 107.4 narrowly defeating Tony Galati
On 106.2, just ahead of Mike Rogerson who managed 105.2.
F class B grade was taken out by Rob Bartlett with a good first round of 57.4 for a total of 110.5, followed by Gordon Higgins on 105.7, and then the three juniors Forbes Thurtell 96.1, Corey Eagles who did well with a mixed bag of ammunition on 94.1 and Ronan Moon 89.
Handicap trophy was won by Keith Gleeson.
