The annual Wingham Carols by Candlelight had an all new look. Organisers went all out to bring an evening of free entertainment so the community could celebrate Christmas together.
The biggest difference this year was a very special appearance by The Lads, an entertaining Christian band who inject humour and fun entertainment into their musical sets for the whole family to enjoy. The Lads call themselves a rock band for kids and families and are originally from New Zealand but are now based in the US. They have released about eight albums and several comedy TV shows on DVD, some of which will be available on the night.
The Lads last came to the Manning Valley in 2012 by popular demand after succesful concerts locally in 2005 and 2006. With a busy Christmas tour that includes the US and New Zealand the Lads only did a few shows in Australia including Wingham and Taree Christian College.
The evening was organised by the combined churches of Wingham in association with local community radio station Rhema FM 106.5.
