Model flyers show precision

THREE Manning Model Aero Club members participated in the recent NSW Championships for Precision Aerobatics at Wollongong with great success.

This event drew competitors from as far away as Yeppoon in Queensland and Mildura in Victoria, all vying to be NSW champion in the respective classes.

All four classes were hotly contested over six rounds with two classes being won by Manning pilots.

Steven Bird was crowned sportsman champion winning five of his six rounds and Dean Erby took out the expert class winning four of the six rounds.

Peter Besant, competing in his first competition, flew very well and is looking forward to further competitions in the New Year.

Manning Model Aero Club will be again hosting scale and precision aerobatic competitions in 2014.
