A TEAM of shooters representing the Wingham club went to compete at Coonabarabran over the long weekend with very good results.
In B Grade Barry White was leading the field until he shot on the wrong target and that put him in second position.
Chris Barnard had a very good competition and won the C Grade.
Rob Bartlett shooting in F Class B Grade was very strong throughout the comp and finished in first place with an overall grand aggregrate.
On Saturday shooters were faced with the challenging 700 yard range and once again had to contend with blustery winds and heat mirage constantly changing direction.
These conditions were very trying on shooters and equipment, and once again this was reflected in low scores.
B Grade was won by Barry White 94.4 defeating Max Purnell 88.3 and Chris Barnard who struggled with various problems finished on 54. Brain Mavin retired after first round.
F Class A Grade was once again taken out by Tony Galati with 108.2 and followed by Mike Rogerson 102.3, Bev Rogerson 97.2, Phil Costa retired after first round and Tracey Anderson also retired after first round.
F Class B Grade was won by Gordon Higgins with 107.5 followed by Rob Bartlett on 100.2 and junior Todd Barnard 84.
The handicap trophy was won by Gordon Higgins.
Next week will by 800 yard range.
