CWA's next adventure is from 8am to noon this Saturday, when we'll be offering an array of worthwhile items for quick sale - clearing the decks before the annual meeting on October 18.
Monthly meeting at 10am and annual meeting at 1pm, and remember dues have to be paid to have a vote. It has been a busy year but our catering efforts have allowed us to make donations to great organisations such as the Royal Flying Doctor and Helicopter Rescue, as well as supporting the Association Fund.
Our State president has taken to cyber space and anyone interested in our activities might like to take a look at cwaofnsw.wordpress.com where activities are reported in a way that keeps our work before the public in an easy to read mode. If you feel like fellowship and fun or just an occasional chat come and meet us. While we welcome new members you don't have to join the branch to be welcome on Tuesday morning or Handicraft on Thursday morning.
Birthdays
WE have three ladies and one man who are celebrating their birthdays. Today being Wednesday 25th is Linda Regan (Black) and Simon De La Norgie, and Friday 27th Max Cumberland and on Sunday 29th Eileen Kerr.

CONCERTS are held on the first and third Tuesday night of every month at Ormsby House, Commerce Street Taree. The music starts at 6.30pm until 10.30pm. They charge a small entry fee and this includes a light supper and all are welcome. For further information contact Carol Holm on 6552 1207 and she will only be too happy to help with your enquiry. On Sunday September 29, a country music day will be held at Taree Airport Tavern with free entry. Tea, coffee, slices, cakes and biscuits will be on sale.
Cards and conversation
THURSDAY afternoon from 1pm at the hall behind the Uniting Church at 39 Farquhar Street, Wingham there will be a card and conversation afternoon held in air-conditioned comfort. Afternoon tea and friendship is also on offer. If you don't play cards yet we are willing to teach you. A cover cost of $2 is asked. For more information contact Joy on 6553 5057.
Funny or not
WELL you now don't have to go to the NRL or AFL football to see a streaker. On Saturday afternoon at Port Macquarie while watching the football (soccer) you wouldn't believe it they had their own personal streaker. The person who did this was on a bet, but I'm not quite sure about the undies. He was escorted from the field. You ask why this is in the paper here if it happened at Port well would you believe it was one of our own.
They say that boys grow up to be men but you can never take the boy out of them.
