ONE of the region's most vibrant community-based events is the Wingham Akoostik Music Festival, October 19 and 20.
Headline artists for this year's festival are Wendy Matthews, Jenny Morris, Bill Chambers, Brendan Gallagher, Siskin River, Caravana Sun and Josh Needs with 30 more spectacular artists joining the lineup. Over the two days, with the essence of creativity and originality, festival goers, big and little, can choose a wide variety of activities including:
o Hear the wonderful choirs, maybe even participate in the free workshop with acclaimed choral conductor Rachel Hore;
o Relax with some yoga at sunrise
o Learn circus skills under the 'Little Top'
o Make some wacky wax dipping candles
o Not a singer? But a swinger? Join in the golf day
o Enjoy the yummy food, browse market stalls
o Join the campfire singalongs whilst camping/caravanning at Wingham Showground.
