A DEPLETED Wingham Tigers team travelled to the Regional Stadium at Port Macquarie to take on the Port Sharks in Group Three Rugby League.
Wingham was missing several of their first grade players and the Sharks scored at regular intervals to lead 30-0 five minutes from half time.
Then Luke Steel slipped through the defence to score. Matt Bridge added the extra points to make the score 30-6 at the break.
It was a far more committed effort in the second half from the Tigers, with Port Macquarie only able to score twice in the first 25 minutes to lead 40-6.
Then Michael Rees was sin-binned for 10 minutes for doing something that the Sharks were doing all game.
Against a tiring 12-man Tigers, the home team put on three more tries to win by 54-6.

Again, with many first graders out, the reserve grade team was below strength with many playing in the higher grade.
Brendan Butler scored early in his 100th grade game for the Tigers. Tim Rees converted the try for a 6-0 lead.
But three tries to the Sharks in the last 12 minutes of the first half game the home team a 16-6 lead at the break.
Then two more tries in the first five minutes of the second stanza made the score 28-6.
Scott Kelly then scored for Wingham, and Tim Rees converted.
In the last 20 minutes, Port Macquarie scored four more tries to win 48-12.

The under 18s got off to a very slow start trailing 16-0 after 20 minutes.
Blake Sky scored under the posts, and Brodie Myer kicked the conversion to trail by ten points.
A try to the home team right on the half time siren made the score 22-6 at the break.
Another try to the Sharks right after the break extended the lead to 28-6.
Brodie Myer then scored, and converted his own try.
Five minutes later, Port Macquarie scored in the corner.
A try by Chad Lonsdale about ten minutes from full time made the final score 32-16.
