TWO concerts featuring some of the best of this year’s local performers in music and song and dance will take place this month.
Showcase is the new name of the annual variety concert that aims to promote talented young performers that reside in the Manning and Great Lakes area and raise funds for charity.
All proceeds go to Riding for the Disabled – Manning and Great Lakes branch to assist in the running and upkeep of the centre at Rainbow Flat.
This year will be featured a number of new and very talented artists including Wingham’s Lucas Sullivan who won the tap dance section at this year’s Taree eisteddfod.
Also featured will be Mary Camphuis who sung the lead in the very successful Taree Arts Council production, Miss Saigon.
With the number of new and very talented artists who will be performing, it is shaping up to be a show not to be missed.
The first show is on at the Manning Entertainment Centre on Friday, August 16 at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased online or at Movies Games and More (formerly Video Ezy Taree).
The second show will be at the Tuncurry Bowling Club auditorium on Sunday, August 18 at 2pm. (Tickets on sale at the club).
Come along and be impressed at the dedication of these artists and know that in doing so you are supporting a very worth cause.
