WINGHAM’S Morgan Coleman will line up for a NSW hockey side for the third time when she plays for the State under 14s in a tri-series against Victoria and the ACT in September.
This will be played in Canberra.
Already Morgan has played for NSW at PSSA level while she has also appeared in a State development team.
For good measure Morgan was named in a NSW indoor team last year.
The series at Canberra is part of the development program for the NSW under 15s in 2014. Morgan was named following trials for the State 15s held in Newcastle. After two days of training and games, the various State teams were named, with Morgan in the 14s.
She has no idea what position she’ll play.
“Probably everywhere,’’ she added.
Morgan currently has a busy schedule, playing for Wingham in the Manning under 15 competition and division one women. She also heads to Newcastle of a Tuesday to play for Central Wests in the division two premiership.
Her stint in Newcastle was organised through the Hunter Academy and Morgan said she’s enjoying the opportunity to play in stronger company.
Morgan also showed promise in touch football, but has given the game away, following a spate of injuries, to concentrate on hockey.
She attends Wingham High School.
