WRIGGLE, Giggle, Read is a fun-filled session of books, songs and rhymes for parents and their babies and toddlers which is now being held at three local libraries.
Greater Taree City Libraries community outreach librarian Debbie Horgan is excited to announce this great program will be held monthly at Wingham Library, starting on Wednesday August 21.
The session will run from 10.30 to 11.30am, with 30 minutes of books, rhymes and songs for the little ones, and 30 minutes for parents to relax and have a chat with each other.
riggle Giggle Read focuses on the development of vital early literacy skills through sharing books and rhymes.
“Talking and singing and reading to your children from an early age is the best way to help them develop the skills they will need to become good readers,” Debbie said.
“Wriggle, Giggle, Read is a really fun program – babies and toddlers just love it.”
Wriggle Giggle Read sessions are held from 10.30 to 11.30am at Taree Library on the first Monday of the month, and at Wingham Library on the third Wednesday of the month.
The program is held weekly on Wednesdays at Hallidays Point Library.
No bookings are required – parents and carers are welcome to just come along.
