The winner for the first time in 15 years of playing golf was the lovely patient Debbie Stewart. Congratulations Debbie this has been so long coming, she was so close at times.
To explain how the medal day works, this is a nett event, so all women play against each other recording each and every stroke ,all grades included. At the end of 18 holes scores are recorded and handicaps taken off, so even with the best score you may not win.
Debbie has had great scores before but been pipped at the post with a bigger handicap.
Though fortune prevailed and she remained winner. We are all so happy for her as she has supported us all and been a great teacher for this difficult game – cheers to you.
Other results: Division 1 gross D Blanch, nett J Stinson; Division 2 gross A O’Neill, nett B Hodgson; runner-up A Palmer; Division 3 gross J Robson, nett J Meanwell.
Putting: Division 1 I Dennis, Division 2 A O’Neill, Division 3 J Robson.
Well done every one it was a lovely day for all.
Cheers to Caddies Restaurant for the lovely soup we have been having after golf its a real winter warmer.
Next week we have the Di Morley trophy flag event day, while our travellers will be off to Crescent Head and Port Macquarie soon for events – we can’t wait.
Cheers Denise
