Jetstar passenger makes kill threat on flight: report

13 Oct, 2011 01:08 PM

A man will face court after reportedly threatening to kill passengers on a Jetstar flight due to fly from the Gold Coast to Sydney.

A Jetstar spokeswoman said airline staff called Australian Federal Police officers to come to a plane at Gold Coast airport about 8pm yesterday.

A federal police spokeswoman said a 54-year-old man from Sydney was removed from the plane and has been issued with a court attendance notice for failing to comply with instructions from the cabin crew.

Neither the federal police nor Jetstar would comment on exactly what the man had said or done, but 2UE Radio reported he allegedly threatened to kill passengers on board.

The plane took off after the incident and arrived in Sydney about an hour late.
