Rogerson’s hard work pays off

19 Jan, 2010 11:38 AM
MIKE Rogerson’s determination to improve his results has paid dividends by him equalling his personal best score of 114/120 and easily top scoring the F-class standard during the week.

This also resulted in Mike winning the handicap event over new target rifle shooter Frank Alcott by 0.7 of a point.

Mike has been trialling different loads of ammunition over the last couple of months and it appears from this result that he is close to finding the perfect load.

He also loads for his wife Bev who profited from his work as well, by also shooting an equal personal best score, that being 110/120.

In the target rifle, Wendy Moon had a very good double possible shooting 100-10.

Single stage possibles were shot by Brian Mavin, Jim Blackmore, Barry White and Keith Gleeson. Keith shot a magnificent 50-6 in C-grade and this is Keith’s first single stage possible in the Club Championship.

Frank Alcott, who is making a come back to the sport after a break for many years, had a very solid score of 87-4.

Frank is expected to get back to his best in the next couple of months with the purchase of new equipment on top of regular shooting.

Next week’s championship shoot will be 800yds.
