Surprise visit from two NRL heroes

13 Aug, 2009 10:12 AM
Wingham's senior and junior rugby league teams received some expert and unexpected advice at training last week when former NRL stars Mario Fenech and Jason Stevens attended.

Both were at the junior session and stayed on for the senior grades, where Wingham first grade and under 18s side are still in the semi finals race.

Fenech and Stevens were in the region to attend a small schools sports day at Boronia Park, Forster, so made the surprise visit to Wingham as part of their stay.

It was a rare chance for local players of all ages to gain some advice and ask questions of some of the best in the business.
