Kids meet their coaches

PREPARATIONS for the Wingham Junior League season are underway with the announcement of coaches for 2010.

Wingham’s young league players and their parents were indroduced to this year’s coaches during a meet and greet at Wingham Central Park last week.

The coaches for 2010 are: Albert Poini (under 6s), Brad Staff (under 7s), Michael Dawson (under 8s), Troy Atkins (under 9s), Brendan Summerfield (under 10s), Brent Sheehan (under 11s), Corey Sheehan and Scott Murray (under 12s), Chris Murray (under 13s), Tim Smith (under 14s), Garry Williams (under 15s) and Troy Atkins (under 16s).

The under 6s and under 14s are also looking for more players.

Big season ahead . . . the Wingham Tigers Under 10s team will feature Ronan Meakl, Jake Peckett, Hudson Summerfield Lochie Kliendienst, Tyler Webb, BJ Woolfe, Harry Morton, Ryan Smoothy, Mathew Coiner, Scott Bishop and coach Brenden Summerfield. (Absent is Taj Greaves)

Family affair . . . Under 6s coach Albert Poini with daughter Khiarna. Albert will coach the under 6s team this year, which will include Khiarna. Any under 6s players looking to get a game should ring Helen Cross on 0429 153 798.
