WINGHAM Public School has enjoyed a golden sporting run of late, from the pool to the league fields.
Hudson Summerfield and Jai Slaven are to be congratulated on their selection in the Manning Zone PSSA Rugby League team following trials at Wingham earlier this month. The pair now play in the Hunter Regional Rugby League trials at Raymond Terrace today.
The Manning Zone PSSA winter trials held in Taree also yielded some other strong results for Wingham Public.
Morgan Coleman, Georgia Campbell, Jaime Hemmingway and Shelby Johnston were all successful in making the Manning hockey side, while Miranda Deal and Jannah Gillett were selected for soccer. Jess Collier rounds out the list with her place in the Manning netball team.
Wingham Public also had two swimmers at the PSSA regional championships at Maitland Pool earlier this month. Congratulations to Jenna Waters, who swam a personal best of 36.34sec in the 12yrs 50m freestyle, and Dylan Webster who swam a great time of 49.47sec in the senior boys breaststroke.
