A growing sport

Manning Junior Rodeo Association held a successful team penning day at Wingham Showground recently.

The committee has been attracting riders from the Upper Hunter, Gloucester, Wauchope and the Manning to take part in this fast-growing sport.

The winners of the May event were Charlie Leayr, Roslyn Jones and Chris Marquet. Second-placed were Carmel and Peter Tippet and Paul Huggison of Clarence Town, and third-placed were Diane Ryan and Darren Sullivan of Paterson and Brian Moore of Wingham.

Organisers try to run a team penning day once a month –except in July when the Glowalman Championships are held.

For more information, phone Diana Brown 6553 4559.
