THE boys played Chatham Cundle at Stokes Circuit, winning a close and exciting contest in what was a low scoring game.
A stand out performance from Mitch Barnett saw him rip through the opposition batsmen, taking six wickets for 10 runs from five overs, including a hat trick.
There was also good support from Gordon Smith two for nine and Julian Walker one for 14.
Mitch Barnett 28 runs, completed a very memorable game. James Orrock carried his bat and steered the team to victory with 18 not out.
Aaron Belcroft scored eight, Tyler Atkins seven, Nick Hull three not out.
All the boys continued their high quality work in the field, with catches to Scott Williams two and, Ryan Relf one.
Having bowled Chatham Cundle for 85 runs (after a swash buckling start by the home side), Wingham were under pressure throughout their 23 overs at the crease.
But with a good team effort, they passed the total for the loss of seven wickets and finished with 92 runs when play was stopped.
