THE Sheather's Machinery Warriors played Tinonee on July 24. It was a great game with excellent passing and all the boys covered the field well. Joel Eggins had a great game on goals and also scored two for the team. We were all very proud of you.
The young Warriors then took on Old Bar Gladiators this week with a great defensive game shown by the home team.
Joel Eggins was on the ball this game, scoring two goals, while Jackson Smith scored another one in the second half. All who watched were very entertained. A good game boys!

THE Wingham Signs Wanderers played Tinonee Eagles in an entertaining game on Saturday.
The Eagles were short on players, but Clare Chapman and Ben Butler-Kwa filled in and everyone got a full game. Ben scored his first ever goal in team soccer when he was playing for his team in the second half, while Clare ran the ball up strongly in both halves and showed all what a great little player she was.
Aaron Smith led Wingham well from the front, positioning himself well and running back when required. Jacob Jones continues to improve and was timing his big kicks quite nicely, getting player of the match deservedly on his birthday of all days.
Jack Kelly was one of best in attack running the ball up the sideline with skill, while Jordan Darby wasn't too far away supporting him in the middle. Nathan Smith countered well, goal-keeping in the first half and making some great saves with Emily Madden not too far away and scoring a great goal that made her family proud. A good match from both teams showed some good soccer players coming through.

GRANTY’S Fruit and Veg Wanderers played Lansdowne at Wingham on Saturday.
With a late start and no subs the kids were exhausted (yippee). Billy McIntyre decided he would like to become the full time goalie.
First half Billy had time to think what he was going to get up to on the weekend, whilst second half he done some amazing saves (while listening to mum Jen on the sideline).
Jordan Goodman and Nash McPherson played up the front, with Jordan doing some fancy footwork and scoring three amazing goals. Nash got all fired up after copping not one, but two balls to the face, which saw him run the ball the length of the field. Andrew Nielsen and Mya Brown played great defence. Andrew booted the ball from over half way straight at the goals (if only the goalie wasn't there) while Mya showed great teamwork pulling the kids into position and having great shots well outside the box to score an amazing goal.
Athena Adams and Lachlan Murphy kept the midfield together keeping the ball away from our goals most of the time. Athena had a few great shots at goals.
Lachlan Murphy was great support to the forwards and was always in the thick of the action. Well done kids!
