Youth vs experience in war of the words

24 Aug, 2010 01:14 PM
SHOULD Australia’s voting age be lowered to 16? It’s a topic that is sure to provoke lively discussion this morning during the annual commuity debate between Wingham High School and the Wingham Probus Club.

Arguing for the drop in voting age will be year 10 Wingham High students Nick and Llew Horgan, Rachael Archinal and Zac Rayson.

Their opposition takes shape in the formidable lineup of Wingham Probus stalwarts Geoff Morris, Robyn Gibson, Rosemary Polkinghorne and Bill Freeman.

The great debate will take place at the Wingham Services Club from 11am.

The Probus Club of Wingham are the reigning champions, and have promised to leave nothing in the tank once again this morning.
