Beef Week secretary Jenn Gallagher said preparations for this year’s celebrations are coming along nicely, but a treasurer is desperately needed to lighten the load on the group.

Beef Week will be held from Saturday May 15 to Saturday May 22.

“We are also just looking for anyone who wants to lend a hand,” Jen said. “The jobs aren’t massive, and every little bit goes towards making the event run smoother for everyone.”

The treasurer’s duties would include bookkeeping, banking, collecting sponsorships and paying prizemoney. Interested candidates would need to attend a meeting on the second Tuesday of each month in the Wingham Showground tea rooms at 6.30pm. Meetings will increase in frequency as Beef Week draws nearer.
