Scouting legends our special guests

25 May, 2010 01:25 PM
TWO icons in Australian scouting - Bob MacDonald OAM and Dr Richard Geeves - will be among the crowd of revellers at this year’s Wingham Scottish Festival.

Bob, the father of Manning Tourism co-ordinator Kim MacDonald, is the NSW State Commissioner of Scouts International.

Bob joined the Scout Movement back in 1946 and in 2010 racks up more than 64 years in the Australian Scout movement.

Bob’s long-time friend Dr Richard Geeves is equally as passionate about scouting and is looking forward to joining the festivities this weekend with his friend.

Our sources say the pair have already booked in for the single malt whiskey night on Saturday.
