The public has voted James Johnston into the top 10 of Australian Idol.
The 18-year-old is yet to appear in the show’s bottom three, continuing his run of confident vocal performances last Sunday night.
James’ version of Drops Of Jupiter by Train elicited a mixed response from the judges. Ian “Dicko” Dickson said his performance was “too sickly sweet” while guest judge Brian McFadden and newcomer Jay Dee Springbett both stood up for James, saying he was growing as a performer.
The Cedar Party youth will tackle a song from the ’80s this Sunday. Don’t miss his performance at the new time of 7.30pm on Southern Cross Ten.
