The Manning's own Australian Idol contestant, James Johnston, is set for a triumphant homecoming appearance at Wingham Central Park this Tuesday.
Fans of the 18-year-old crooner will have the chance to meet their idol and watch him perform live - regardless of whether he is eliminated from the show or not.
Australian Idol producers are sending contestants back to their home communties after Sunday's live elimination show. James' dad Grant and mum Marie jumped at the opportunity to organise a special gathering for their son.
"Because it's all been so full-on for him, I don't think he realises that people are living his journey as much as he is," dad Grant said this week.
"When we were hanging out on the Central Coast last weekend, it was the first time we'd actually been able to reflect on his experience together. It was only when we sat around and watched some TV footage that he realised how much people have supported him."
If James wins through to the top six this weekend, his meet and greet at Wingham Central Park will be captured by the Idol film crew. If he is eliminated, Tuesday's concert will serve as a fitting homecoming to thank friends and fans for their support.
Local rockers The Hyrdaphonics (fronted by James' Wingham High School classmate Jack Bailey) will perform at Central Park from 3.30pm, with James scheduled to arrive at 4pm.
Idol fans will get the opportunity to pass on their messages to James personally, and may get the opportunity to watch him belt out a few tunes.
No doubt the Cedary Party boy will be in a more casual frame of mind than this Sunday's live Idol elimination.
James faces his moment of truth this week after consecutive appearances in the bottom three. Last Sunday was his closest shave yet, James finding himself in the bottom two after receiving the second least amount of votes from the public.
James' elimination dramas have come despite a string of impressive performances and favourable comments from the judges.
The 18-year-old was on fire during last week's rendition of the pop standard Fever, sending temperatures soaring across Australia.
"Smokin," said guest judge Harry Connick Junior.
"Dynamite," declared Marcia Hines.
"Take that fever, incubate it for next week, and you'll be fine," said Dicko.
James has also managed to hold on to his mantle as the Idol dark horse, and is still fourth favourite to win the competition, behind Stan, Hayley, and Nathan, according to sportingbet.com
His guitar work will feature this week as he performs hits of the stage and screen under the guidance of guest mentor Liza Minelli.
Tune in to Southern Cross Ten at 7.30pm this Sunday to cheer our boy on!
