Five youths have been charged following a party in Wingham on Saturday night which police described as out of control.
Police estimated the crowd at the home on Wingham Road, Wingham, numbered between 400 and 500, word of which was allegedly spread through the internet.
A large number of the people in attendance were intoxicated, police said.
Police shut the party down about 11pm and extra officers from Gloucester and Taree were seconded to Wingham to assist in moving the partygoers on.
One young woman was taken to Manning Hospital by ambulance due to her highly intoxicated state, police said.
Police responded to a number of incidents throughout the town as the crowd dispersed.
A 19-year-old Lithgow resident (he is a former Manning Valley resident) was charged for refusing to comply with a police direction and he will appear at Taree Local Court on July 28.
Three other young Taree males – a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old – were each charged with refusing to comply with a police direction and behaving in an offensive manner.
They will all appear in Taree Children’s Court on July 28.
A Tamworth resident, aged 22, was charged with six offences after a violent struggle with police.
He will face a charge of damaging property, four counts of assaulting police and refusing to comply with a police direction.
He was bailed to appear in Taree Local Court on July 28.
